Summary:
The Facilities Director is responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for the community; Assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining maintenance services.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and/or performs maintenance and repair required to keep the building in good working condition according to the preventative maintenance program and work orders.
Negotiates contracts and ensures outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contractsRegularly inspects equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and comfortable environmentEnsures that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly storedEnsures compliance with fire and safety codes, including interacting with fire, building and safety inspectorsResponds to and is available for emergency calls from the CommunityKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in a health care settingAbility to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of othersGood communication and organization skillsAbility to use Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the InternetAbility to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all timesAbility to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of othersAbility to read, write and communicate in EnglishAbility to pass DSHS background check, requiredEducation and
Experience:
5 years of facilities maintenance of multiple building trades and/or, other related training experience required; Facilities maintenance in a health-care setting preferred.
