Position: Sr. IT Information Architect (Consulting IT Architect )
Location: Mercer Island, WA
Work closely with, among others the, Business Data Architect, GTA leadership team, KAE's, CMO, CITO Team, and Architects.
Establishes best practice and standards for the use of data as a business resource.
Defines Data Architecture that supports and optimizes data management and provides a high-level blueprint of data, systems and technology needed to support and enable the business strategies, demands, objectives, and vision of the company.
Defines BI, IM, and Big Data strategy.
Essential Job Functions
Run and own the Data Governance, Data Stewardship and Data Quality initiatives within segment.
Interface with FNWL-IT and our company-IT to participate in creating company's Data strategy covering Big Data, IM and BI strategy.
Create and maintain enterprise wide IT Data vision, responsible for defining IT data strategies and roadmaps.
Define the data strategy and roadmaps for adoption in respective BDs and Segments.
Support Business Data Leads to align business data strategy with IT Data Technologies and Future Solutions.
Provide the IT Data architecture assurance/conscience for regional IT enterprise.
Ensure regional projects and initiatives are aligned with our overall GIT data architecture and strategy, and that data standards are followed.
Set standards for regulatory compliance, data policy, data security and data retention.
Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
Occasional Travel: Kansas, New York and California.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Knowledge and Appreciation of key industry standards impacting on the data associated Life Insurance domain in our key markets (e.g. Acord)
Knowledge of the real world experiences (benefits and pitfalls) associated with emerging data technologies/approaches and their application in the insurance industry
Knowledge of approaches to deliver incremental business benefits from data initiatives within the insurance industry
Demonstrate ability to align between data architecture, business architecture and IT architecture to deliver innovative solutions
Experience in leading major information management programs in key business areas for banks, insurance companies and/or investment banks;

years of data warehouse, data marts, and data reporting experience.
2
years of big-data experience including applied techniques in data mining, mapping, or graph mining.
Experience across master data management (MDM) functions, including warehousing, marts, ETL, data mining, and remote source of record management.
Experience with Big Data technologies (Mongo, Hadoop, etc.) and techniques (MapReduce, or column stores), as well as working with large, unfiltered data sets.
Experience turning research ideas into actionable designs. Able to persuade stakeholders and to champion effective techniques through delivery.
Advanced degree in a relevant field is desirable.
Good 'all round' communication skills, performance management, good practice and techniques as well as fluent written and spoken English.
KNOWLEDGE:
Data management expertise in delivery, development and Technology trends and directions
Financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of risk, finance and customer domains
Business Application usage of data and information architecture
End-to-end data warehousing program execution knowledge and leadership
Ability to guide/teach others in data principles - cleansing, trust mapping, read-only and transactional data concerns, and dynamic report generation
Familiarity with software development lifecycles such as Waterfall or Agile/SCRUM
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
OTHER SKILLS
Strong leadership & C-Suite communication skills
Experience in operationalizing Data Governance, Data Stewardship and Data Quality
Experience in setting up and supporting information analytics teams;
Strong business acumen and mindset
Very good team player who is skilled at building up and managing stakeholder relationships successfully

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
