Business Office Specialist

Robert Half Finance Accounting has a great opportunity with an established Senior Living organization located on Mercer Island, WA. They are looking to add a Business Office Specialist (Office Manager) to their team, who will oversee the campus business office. This position will act as a liaison between campus Leaders and Central Office Shared Services to help with monthly revenue and expense cycle management as well as support the monthly financial close. In this role, the Business Office Specialist (Office Manager) will:
Oversee initial Medicaid application process to ensure timely eligibility is met, update Vision with correct payor sequencing and communicate status to Shared Services. Manage adjustments and updates to resident financial data as it relates to their share of cost
Process deposits for both corporate concentration and campus depository bank accounts
Be in charge of mail distribution
Consolidated Billing approvals
Back up to census validation
Manage the ADR/Medical Records requests
Monitor and document Private Pay collections
Facilitate reimbursement of long term care insurance
Answer resident/family billing questions along with consulting on financial responsibilities to 3rd party stays
Maintain changes to resident contact/financial information in billing software
Maintain resident trust accounting
Participate in the monthly billing process with the Shared Service Team. Benefits:

Requirements:
College education is preferred.
3-5 years of related experience in accounting or business office atmosphere.
Good inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to deal well with others and handle a variety of routine tasks and responsibilities in a professional, prompt manner.
Excellent organizational skills, initiative and good judgment, accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with campus staff via telephone and email.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with a variety of people and personalities.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
