Job Description

Covenant Shores, located in the Seattle metro area, has an opening for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for providing high-quality preventive maintenance and repair throughout the campus in order to meet the needs of residents and staff and to help assure that the buildings, equipment and facilities are in good repair. This is a full-time position with Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday work schedule options.


In this role you will:



  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance and repair on campus buildings and equipment to include plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R units and others as assigned.

  • Complete assigned repair and preventive maintenance work orders as assigned by supervisor or department director such as appliance repair, light carpentry work, routine motor vehicle maintenance, routine plumbing repair, routine repairs on heating/air conditioning, low voltage applications, fire alarms in accordance with Covenant Shores procedures and industry standards.

  • Inspect facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety and cleanliness and identifying necessary repairs.

  • Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC/R problems; repair items discovered during inspections.

  • Record supplies used and work done on completed work orders.

  • Respond to emergencies and take proper corrective action.


For this role you need:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least two years' experience in a variety of maintenance related fields; Experience in a retirement community preferred.

  • Specialized training in one or more of the following areas is a plus: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and good mechanical aptitude.

  • Demonstrated experience with hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment.

  • Current valid Washington state driver's license and a good driving record.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
